Two Quick Ways to Transfer Your Clips and Upload to Shootsta
Once you’ve finished filming with your DJI Osmo Pocket 3, it’s time to get that footage onto your computer—and into the Shootsta Platform. Whether you’re editing yourself or sending it to our team, here are two simple ways to transfer your content.
🔌 Option 1: Plug & Play (USB-C Connection)
- Connect the Pocket 3 to your computer using the provided USB-C cable
- Flip the screen to power it on. After a moment, you’ll see it change to say “Connected”. You will have the option between USB mode and Webcam. Choose USB.
- On your computer, open Finder or File Explorer
- Locate the DJI device, open the DCIM folder, and you'll find your footage.
🛠 Troubleshooting Tip:
If it doesn’t connect:
- Unplug the device
- Power it off
- Try the steps again from the top
💾 Option 2: SD Card Transfer
- Remove the micro SD card from the side of the Osmo Pocket 3. You can achieve this by pushing down on the micro SD card until it pops out.
- Insert the micro SD card into the SD card reader included in your Mini Kit
- On your computer, open the DCIM folder and locate your clips
📤 Upload to Shootsta
Once your footage is on your computer:
- Log into the Shootsta Platform
- Create a new project
- Upload your selected video clips and any scripts, briefs or planning docs to guide your editor
💡 Pro Tip: Always Backup Your Footage Before Deleting
Before deleting anything
✅ Back up your footage to an external drive or cloud storage
❌ Never format your card before confirming your upload was successful
You can check how much space is left on your SD card in the top-left corner of the Pocket 3 screen.

🗑 How to Format the Card (Only After Backup)
- Swipe down on the Pocket 3 touchscreen
- Tap Settings
- Scroll to Format, and confirm
🔐 Some company laptops may have restricted USB access. If you can’t connect your device, check with your IT team.
That’s it—two easy ways to move your footage from shoot to edit.
Now get uploading—and create something great!
